Level 1

You’ve probably experienced the following: you bump your foot on an edge. What do you do automatically? You put your hands on it. This calms you down, provides warmth and after a short time the pain is gone again.

But why do we intuitively put our hands on ourselves? Simply because we give ourselves energy in the process. Through our hands, we already have – by nature – a channel to the so-called “universal life energy”, i.e. “Reiki”. This inner knowledge is already present in each of us and that is why we react intuitively in such situations.

What happens during an attunement to Level 1? You can compare it to a tap. Whereas before the attunement the tap only let a little water through, after the attunement to Reiki the full flow is restored. To put it simply: there is nothing left to block the flow. How does this work? In Level 1, the Reiki student receives four traditional attunements from the Reiki master (one attunement lasts approx. 10 – 15 minutes). This means – to stay with the comparison of the tap – that the water pipe is intensively cleaned four times so that there are no more blockages and the water can flow again at full strength. The channel then remains open forever and the Reiki student can now use his or her hands to let the universal life energy flow to wherever they want it to.

The possible applications are extremely diverse. Here are a few examples:
After a stressful day, simply lie down and lay your hands on yourself from head to toe. Reiki penetrates deep into the body and brings the entire system into energetic balance. This can bring about particularly effective and deep relaxation.
Or you can give your food Reiki by laying your hands on it (before you eat it). You will notice: some foods need more energy, some less. The result is “energized” food, just as it should be “originally”.
Or you can give your drinks Reiki. You can therefore easily produce “revitalized” water yourself …
You can also lay hands on your pet. Animals react particularly intuitively to “more” life energy and automatically get the amount of energy they need.
Or you can experiment with objects of all kinds. Since matter is nothing other than condensed energy, you can also give any energy the energy it needs to run “smoothly” again …

In short: after the four attunements, you have it “in your own hands” and you no longer need the Reiki master. Incidentally, this applies to all Reiki levels because each Reiki level is self-contained. Depending on the Reiki level, you are given different “tools” and can then use them immediately – and forever. It is therefore not necessary to go to a Reiki master again and again. If the universal life energy is activated in you through the four attunements in Level 1, you will have access to Reiki forever. It is then only up to you if and when you want to let Reiki flow …
