Teacher Level

The Teacher Level serves exclusively to learn the traditional initiation rituals according to Dr. Mikao Usui. Once you have completed Level 1, Level 2 and the Master Level, you are able to initiate anyone into any Reiki level after learning the initiation rituals.

However, not everyone wants to become a Reiki teacher, nevertheless those who feel called to give other people access to Reiki and, in the Master Level, access to their inner “self”, can find their true calling and thus true fulfillment in the Teacher Level.

It goes without saying, of course, that a true Reiki master will not take the Teacher Level just to have a source of income afterwards. This is not in the spirit of the traditional Reiki system according to Dr. Mikao Usui. The attunements were primarily intended as a “service” to people. The attunements were intended to give everyone the opportunity to gain permanent access to Reiki so that they could bring themselves into energetic balance at any time. Reiki was – and is – a system of help for self-help. Of course, according to tradition, there must always be a compensation (because the attunements are time-consuming for the Reiki master) and money is the most common form of compensation. However, money should never be the only reason for deciding to become a Reiki teacher. In my opinion, a true Reiki teacher should not need to finance or co-finance his livelihood through Reiki. Only in this way, i.e. if he is already 100% “free” materially/financially, can he place himself completely and totally “freely” at the service of Reiki and not be influenced by other needs. A true Reiki teacher therefore always acts on the basis of his high integrity and devotion to the “origin energy”. To compare it with Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs: the motivation of a true Reiki teacher is always at the highest level, self-actualization. This applies both to himself and to his function as a “teacher”. A true Reiki teacher should have already satisfied the lower levels and be fully committed to the highest level of Reiki.

For a true Reiki master, it also means becoming a “teacher”, because this enables him to stay “on the ball” himself and to keep discovering new perspectives on Reiki through discussions with his Reiki students. Even a Reiki teacher never stops learning …

In short, the Teacher Level is the same as the Master Level. These levels are not to be seen as the end, but actually only as the “beginning” of a journey …
